From cable assemblies to complete custom enclosures.
Five integrated manufacturing disciplines under one roof in Acton, Massachusetts. Engineered to spec, manufactured in-house, delivered on time.
Custom Cable Assemblies
Our flagship capability. Hundreds of custom cable assembly designs in active production for data storage, server, telecom, and industrial applications.
EPS designs and manufactures cable assemblies to your exact specifications — cable lengths, conductor sizes, conductor colors, wire AWG, jacket materials, shielding requirements, and connector types. Whether you need a one-off prototype or a production run of ten thousand, the engineering and manufacturing run through the same facility.
Active product categories include:
- MCIO x4 / x8 / x16 cables (server & storage interconnects)
- SlimSAS 8i / 16i and SAS / Mini-SAS cabling
- OCuLink (SFF-8612) and U.2 / U.3 NVMe cabling
- SFF-8639, SFF-8643, SFF-8644 storage cabling
- HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C / USB 3.x
- SATA, eSATA, Power, and Y-splitter assemblies
- Legacy interfaces: IDE, Firewire, ZIF/LIF, SCSI
- Network: QSFP+, QSFP28, SFP+, SFP28 DAC
CNC Machining
Precision CNC services for custom enclosures, brackets, and structural components paired with your cable and connector solutions.
When a custom assembly needs a custom housing, EPS handles both. Our CNC machining capability produces precision enclosures, mounting brackets, drive sleds, faceplates, and structural elements engineered to fit your application — whether that's a server chassis, a NUC enclosure, or a one-off integration into an existing system.
Applications:
- Custom drive sleds and storage enclosures
- NUC lid panels (cosmetic and functional)
- Mounting brackets, faceplates, and chassis components
- Prototype enclosures for engineering validation
- Production runs from 10 to 10,000+ units
Injection & Insert Molding
Custom molding for connector housings, strain reliefs, overmolded cable assemblies, and engineered mechanical components.
Our injection and insert molding capability supports both standalone components and integrated cable-assembly overmolding. Custom housings give your product a fit-and-finish that off-the-shelf parts cannot match — and integrated overmolding produces cable assemblies with significantly improved durability and strain relief over field-terminated alternatives.
Common applications:
- Overmolded cable connector boots and strain reliefs
- Custom connector housings for non-standard form factors
- Insert-molded contacts for ruggedized assemblies
- Engineered grommets and pass-through components
Metal Stampings
Precision metal stamping for connector contacts, brackets, shields, and structural elements integrated into complete cable solutions.
Stamping rounds out our integrated manufacturing capability. Where a project requires custom contacts, EMI shields, retention clips, or structural metal elements, we produce them in-house rather than coordinating with external stamping vendors. This consolidation matters: lead times shrink, quality control tightens, and there's a single point of accountability when something needs to change.
Capabilities include:
- Connector contacts (signal and power)
- EMI / RFI shielding components
- Retention clips, latches, and locking hardware
- Structural brackets and mounting tabs
Supply Chain Management
Beyond manufacturing — comprehensive sourcing, inventory, and logistics management for customers who want a single supply-chain relationship.
Many customers come to EPS not just for custom manufacturing but for the operational simplicity of a single supplier handling materials, production, inventory, and shipping. Our supply chain services include component sourcing, vendor management, inventory programs, and direct-to-end-customer fulfillment for OEM partners.
Programs available:
- Vendor-managed inventory (VMI) for high-volume customers
- Just-in-time delivery scheduling
- Component sourcing and qualification
- Direct-to-end-customer fulfillment (drop-shipping under your label)
- Long-term supply agreements with price stability
